In Luke's account, the second temptation Jesus faced went to the heart of His mission. The Devil offered Him rule over the kingdoms of the Earth if He would only worship him. But of course, God's plan was to bring the kingdoms under the rule of Christ by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
God's way often seems more challenging to us, but it leads to a better, flourishing, and eternal life. How do we follow Christ's example to stay true to God's design in our own lives?
