Here are a few things about us that you may want to know.

What We Believe

About God

We believe there is one divine Being who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  While our human minds cannot fully grasp everything about God’s nature, it is still possible to know Him and live in a relationship with Him.  God created everything that exists in the Universe. (Gen.1;1; Acts 17:24-28; Heb.11:13)

About Jesus

We believe Jesus is the eternal, divine Son of God.  He voluntarily gave up his rights as God to live on earth as a human being.  Jesus was born of a virgin, and lived a perfect, sinless life.  Even though he was perfect, he was executed by crucifixion on a cross.  However, three days later he bodily arose from the grave.  He then went back to Heaven where he now serves as the mediator between God and Mankind.  At the end of time he will visibly return to earth. (John 1:14; 1 Jn.4:9; John 3:16; 2 Peter 3:18 / Matt.21:11; John 19:19; John 1:14; Rom.5:15-17; Col.2:9; 1 Jn.1:1; Matt.1:18; Luke 1:26-38 / Luke 23:1-46 / 24:1-8; John 20:24-29; 1 Cor. 15:3-8 / Luke 22:69; Acts 1:1-9; Col. 3:1 / Matt.24:1-3; John 14:1-3; Acts 10:39-42; 1 Peter 4:5)

About the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every person who follows Christ and has received God’s salvation.  The Spirit helps people change to become more like Jesus Christ.  The Holy Spirit empowers, and equips Christ-followers for the purpose of building up God’s kingdom, the Church. (John 16:5-15; Acts 1:7-8; Rom.8:26-27; 1 Cor.3:16; 6:19; 2 Tim.1:14)

About the Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s only inspired message to people.  He communicated its contents by divinely guiding human authors called apostles and prophets.  The sixty-six books of the Bible are entirely accurate, complete and final.  We look to it as our authoritative guide for spiritual matters. (Isaiah 40:8; Matt. 5:18; 24:35; Mark 12:36; John 14:26; 16:12-15; Acts 1:16; Rom.15:4; 1 Cor.2:12-13; 2 Tim.3:14-16; Heb.4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

About Sin

God designed us and desires the best for us.  However, we have a natural tendency to rebel and live with an attitude of disobedience towards Him.  This attitude and resulting action is called sin.  It is sin that breaks our relationship with God and forfeits our right to the quality of life he offers. (Acts 4:12; Rom.3:23)

About Salvation

We believe God provided a way for our relationship with him to be restored.  Jesus came to earth to pay the debt that every person owes to God by substituting his life for ours.  He died in our place.  While we cannot earn our salvation, we must personally decide to receive God’s offer of forgiveness through faith in Jesus, expressed in baptism by immersion.  We have God’s promise that he will forgive our sins and live in our hearts through the Holy Spirit. (Matt.10:32; 26:28; Luke 24:45-47; Acts 3:19; 17:30; Rom.5:1-2, 9; 6:1-7; Rom.10:9; Gal.3:27; Eph.2:8-9; Phil 2:11; Col.2:12; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 3:21; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 John 1:7; 4:15)
