Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

– Jesus, John 16:33

Welcome To Watermarke Church

Just as the body has many parts, the Church has many members who all make the body work.  While we can’t introduce you to everyone at once, here are some people you may want to get to know.
Tim Yates
Tim, his wife, Dawn, and their three daughters moved to Bellefonte after almost 20 years as missionaries in Africa and Australia.  He loves to preach, loves people, and loves to watch Indiana basketball!
MikeMike Seibel
Worship Leader
Mike and his wife, Laine have lived in the Bellefonte area for over 20 years, raising 3 beautiful children.  Mike loves Jesus, and loves music, and naturally loves singing about Jesus.  Mike also enjoys fishing and hunting in our central Pennsylvania outdoors.

Worship The Lord In Giving

We give as an act of worship. We ask big, pray big, and expect big things to come out of a people that lives and operates in Kingdom mentality. Jesus is King over our finances and places us as stewards over His income. We give back to launch new Kingdom opportunities for the Gospel to reach to ends of the earth.

God and Us for the Rest of Us

God has invited us to join Him in being "for" the rest of us.  If we have accepted Jesus as our savior, we've also accepted the mission He gave us to share our story with others.

    God is For the Christian

It may seem like a no-brainer that God is for the Christians.  But the truth is that many Christian believers are quietly living their lives as if they don't believe it.  Imagine what God could do with the lives of those who believe that He believes in them!

    God is For the Forgotten
Does it sometimes feel like God has forgotten about you?  Like it's been so long since you've sensed His presence that maybe He has gone away for good?  Or maybe you've never really sensed His presence at all.  God is for you if you feel forgotten.

    God is For the Hurting

One of life's harsh realities is the presence of suffering.  Jesus was honest with us that we would experience pain and loss, but He also reassured us of His victory over the pain of this world... which comforts us with the reality that God is for those who are hurting.

God is for Those Who have been Turned Off by the Church

Many people have been let down by a church before.  Some have been let down by those calling themselves Christians.  If you have been disappointed or have seen hypocrisy before, you're not alone.  Jesus saw it as a problem, too.  But He didn't let that stop Him from showing that God is for the rest of us!

God for the Rest of Us
It's easy to think that God hangs out with good people.  Righteous people.  The kind of people that go to church every week.  But the Bible describes God as one who pursues us.  No matter where we've gone or what we've done, God is not just willing to take us back... that's the very reason Jesus came in the first place... for the rest of us.

God will Never Give You More than You can Handle

At first glance, this phrase seems comforting... that God would not allow you to be hit with more than what's fair.  The problem is: The Bible Doesn't Say That.  Scripture clearly teaches us that we'll often face sin, temptation, trouble and all sorts of situations in life that we cannot handle... on our own.

    “Judge Not.”

"Don't judge me" is a common defense for just about anything these days.  Many use Jesus' words "Judge not, let you be judged," to promote tolerance.  But is that really what Jesus meant?

“Obedience Always Leads to Financial Blessing.”
Not so much a "catchy phrase" as it is a philosophy today, the idea that God will financial bless you if you financially contribute has been around for a while now.  But what does the Bible really say about this attitude?

“God Helps Those Who Help Themselves”

Our culture is filled with expressions that may appear to be from the Bible, but in reality "the Bible doesn't say that."  In our first message, we tackle what the Bible actually says in response to the phrase, "God helps those who help themselves."
