God is for Those Who have been Turned Off by the Church

godfortherestofus_logo

Many people have been let down by a church before.  Some have been let down by those calling themselves Christians.  If you have been disappointed or have seen hypocrisy before, you’re not alone.  Jesus saw it as a problem, too.  But He didn’t let that stop Him from showing that God is for the rest of us!

God for the Rest of Us

godfortherestofus_logo

It’s easy to think that God hangs out with good people.  Righteous people.  The kind of people that go to church every week.  But the Bible describes God as one who pursues us.  No matter where we’ve gone or what we’ve done, God is not just willing to take us back… that’s the very reason Jesus came in the first place… for the rest of us.

God will Never Give You More than You can Handle

BDST_postcard

At first glance, this phrase seems comforting… that God would not allow you to be hit with more than what’s fair.  The problem is: The Bible Doesn’t Say That.  Scripture clearly teaches us that we’ll often face sin, temptation, trouble and all sorts of situations in life that we cannot handle… on our own.

“Judge Not.”

BDST_postcard

“Don’t judge me” is a common defense for just about anything these days.  Many use Jesus’ words “Judge not, let you be judged,” to promote tolerance.  But is that really what Jesus meant?

ONE CHURCH, MANY PLACES
We don’t own a building, which is why we meet at the Bellefonte Area Middle School Auditorium on the weekends.  Weekdays, you can find us at our offices on Spring Street, or in one of the many ministries we offer
