God will Never Give You More than You can Handle

At first glance, this phrase seems comforting… that God would not allow you to be hit with more than what’s fair.  The problem is: The Bible Doesn’t Say That.  Scripture clearly teaches us that we’ll often face sin, temptation, trouble and all sorts of situations in life that we cannot handle… on our own.



“Judge Not.”

“Don’t judge me” is a common defense for just about anything these days.  Many use Jesus’ words “Judge not, let you be judged,” to promote tolerance.  But is that really what Jesus meant?

“Obedience Always Leads to Financial Blessing.”

Not so much a “catchy phrase” as it is a philosophy today, the idea that God will financial bless you if you financially contribute has been around for a while now.  But what does the Bible really say about this attitude?
