Life is All About Relationships

We were created to enjoy a relationship with God and with other people.  In fact, without relationships, life can be very empty.  We value relationships at Watermarke.  Relationships help us to grow and provide support for us during the difficult times of life.  Our goal is for everyone who attends Watermarke to be involved in a small group, where relationships can flourish.

Small Group Philosophy

The church is small groups. The small group meeting is viewed as the primary activity of the church and all groups get together on a regular basis for corporate celebration and worship.  All ministries are initiated and expressed in the form of a group. The small group leader is seen as the primary pastor of the individuals in the group.

Types of Groups

There are three main types of groups at Watermarke:

Study Groups—these are medium size groups that meet for a predetermined amount of time (generally 4-6 weeks) to study a particular topic (parenting, finances, a book of the Bible, etc.).  This group provides a great connection between our Sunday celebration service and small group community

Life Groups—the  most common expression of groups; centered around spiritual growth (includes singles, youth, men’s, women’s, recovery, accountability, etc.)

H2O Groups—these are groups of 2 or 3 (men with men, women with women) who meet for mutual accountability, Bible reading and prayer.
