Global Outreach

Live Local...Think Global!

Watermarke was planted as a mission.  Although we are located in a specific geographic location, we have a global outlook.  We do not exist for ourselves but for those who do not know Jesus.  It doesn't matter if that person is across the street or halfway around the world.  We are here to make a difference in the lives of people on this little planet called Earth.

 
Jesus said, "GO, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you."  Matthew 28:19-20

We do not have a "missions program" because every follower of Christ is called to be a missionary.  Our church is a mission, not only to Bellefonte and surrounding areas, but to the world.

People have been on mission trips to:

  • The Dominican Republic (Click here for pictures.)

  • Pachuca Mexico
  • New Orleans/Mississippi to help with Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts.

Missions trips are coordinate as church teams and individuals are also encouraged to participate in trips as they become available. Bill and Cindy Toner, two of Watermarke's members are currently on an extended work in Slidell, LA working with I.D.E.S. with the reconstruction efforts (www.ides.org). 

Watermarke is also committed to planting churches.  We are partnering with Keystone and Orchard Group to help plant a church in Allentown, PA. Click here for more information on their project (http://www.orchardgroup.org/projects/lehigh-valley-project ).
